Snipe boat Trailers are designed and manufactured in the UK to meet the latest EU Type approval Regulations. They have a Hot Dipped Galvanised chassis and are fully adjustable to suit different hull shapes.

There are five designs within the Snipe Range which include the small narrow framed N series, the wider Y series, the delta frame D series, the PWC JS range and the Inflatable boat trailer series.

N series Trailers

The N series are regarded as the light duty range of trailers with their narrow frame and are suitable for smaller boats. They are available with 350Kg and 750Kg axles to take the weight of your boat. This range is suitable for boats measuring 2.5 – 4 metres in length.

This trailer is available in KS, RK and R format. This refers to the way in which the boat is supported.

N-Series Trailer

RK – This stands for keel and side rollers. This method offers the best compromise between the support of keel rollers and the easy launch of a roller trailer.

KS – This stands for keel rollers and skids. This method offers maximum support for your boat as the weight is split between the keel rollers and the large surface area of the skids. This format is recommended for wooden boats and for those planning on trailing over a larger distance.

R – This stands for multi-roller. This method has a multi roller system with a rear swing beam. The swing beam offers easy launching and recovery whilst the rollers help the boat centre onto the trailer during recovery.

The trailers are 1.60 metres wide. There is half a metre adjustability either way in the overall length. For example, a 3.5 meter trailer can carry a 3 or 4 meter length boat.

These trailers come complete with a certificate of conformity, adjustable winch post and a lighting board with adjustable slides.

These trailers are available in any length and axle combination from the list below. 2.5 Metres, 3.0 Metres, 3.5 Metres, 4 Metres 350Kg, 750Kg.

Y Series Trailers

These are the medium duty boat range with a similar design to the N series but the Y series have capping rails to prevent the trailer flexing across its length. This is required due to the extra weight the Y series can carry. The range starts at 750Kg and goes through to 1800Kg and are suitable for 4-6 metre length boats. All trailers above 750Kg gross are braked and have Knott hitches with stainless steel brake cables. The braked series are also available with a flushing kit to help prevent corrosion inside the brake drums.

The Y series are available in R and BK format.

Y-Series Trailer

R – This stands for mutli-roller. These trailers are the easiest to use, the roller system and swing beams make launching and recovery an easy task. The 750Kg trailers have a rear swing beam with a fixed beam at the front whereas trailers over 750Kg have 2 swing beams to offer maximum support and adjustability. These trailers have a protective roller to prevent the hull knocking the axle or main chassis.

BK – This stands for bunks. These trailers offer maximum support and have centre keel rollers and carpeted runners on either side to offer lateral support. These spread the load over a greater area and are normally used for wooden boats or certain hull shapes. We recommend these trailers for long distance towing.

The trailers are 2.10 metres wide. There is half a metre adjustability either way in length. For example, a 5 meter trailer can carry a 4.5 or 5.5 meter length boat.

These trailers come complete with a certificate of conformity, adjustable winch post, LED side & width markers and a lighting board with adjustable slides.

These trailers are available in any length and axle combination from the list below. 4.0 Metres, 4.5 Metres, 5.0 Metres, 5.5 Metres, 6.0 Metres 750Kg, 1300Kg, 1500Kg, 1800Kg.

D series Trailers

This is the heavy duty series and the frame differs from the N and Y series because it is made in an A frame or delta shape and has no protruding draw bar. This is the strongest type of trailer and has a capping rail to reduce flexing on the trailer. These trailers are available from 1800Kg to 3500Kg and range from 5.5 – 10 metres in length. All of these trailers have Knott running gear including Stainless Steel brake cables. The brakes are also available with a flushing kit to help prevent corrosion inside the brake drums. All trailers apart from the 1800kg are twin axle.

The D series is available in R and BK format.

D-Series Trailer

R – This stands for mutli-roller. These trailers are the easiest to use, the roller system and swing beams make launching and recovery an easy task. All trailers have multiple swing beams, the smaller trailers have two and the larger ones have up to four swing beams with a maximum of 64 rollers.

The trailers are 2.30 metres wide. There is half a metre adjustability either way in length. For example a 7 meter trailer can carry a 6.5 or 7.5 meter boat.

These trailers come complete with a certificate of conformity, adjustable winch post, LED side & width markers and a lighting board with adjustable slides.

These trailers are available in any length and axle combination from the list below. 5.5 Metres, 6.0 Metres, 6.5 Metres, 7.0 Metres, 7.5 Metres, 8.0 Metres, 8.5 Metres, 9.0 Metres, 9.5 Metres, 10.0 Metres 1800kg, 2000kg, 2600kg, 3000kg, 3500kg.
